Battle of the Eye Creams

Today, i will be reviewing the 2 eye creams that i have tried these few months. Firstly, presenting the SKINFOOD Potiron au Lait(pumpkin) Eye Cream! It's a really petite orange glass bottle with a weight of 25g.
Description on label: Eye cream that contains vitamins and carotene-rich pumpkin, milk, honey extracts to provide moisturized, velvety soft and shiny features to your skin. (this last part about shiny features is weird?!?the english sounds awkward too, haha)

It doesn't really smell like pumpkins! but it has a sweet fruity smell. its pretty thick and has a pale yellow creamy texture. Honestly, I don't think this is effective at all! It didn't see any difference to my undereyes after using it dilligently every night. Kinda disappointed because Skinfood is my trusted and fave skincare brand...
It may work for some others to get rid of their dark eye circles though..I read one positive online review somewhere. This is because beta-carotene (vit a derivative) is supposedly good.Anyway, it's pretty OKAY-SO-SO for its moisturizing purposes...which i would prefer the NIVEA one (below).
Price: S$23.50 (on Gmarket SG)
Korea: ₩10,000 (S$11.30 after conversion)
My sis got this fr korea previously so it's an old range...there are new ranges of eye creams fr SF which i have yet to try. Quite alot of raves about the Salmon brightening eye range!~
*NEXT CONTENDER*-drumrolls-
Nivea Aqua Sensation Anti-shadow Eye Cream (made in poland)(15ml)

From NIVEA website:
  • The light cream with refreshing Cucumber Extracts instantly revives the delicate eye area.
  • Enriched with Magnesium, Ginseng and light-reflecting pigments it effectively reduces puffiness and the appearance of under eye shadows.
  • Natural moisturisers provide long-lasting hydration to smoothen and soften the delicate skin around the eyes.
  • An UVA/UVB filter system and Vitamin E protect from external damage.
Lots of good reviews about this eye cream. and i heard it's pretty affordable (def cheaper than Skinfood) I didnt buy this so im not too sure how much it costs. But i think you can prob find it at local drugstores (watsons, guardians etc)
It didn't lighten my dark circles but i think my fine lines were gone the next morning after spamming my eyes the night before. (hahaha yes i have fine lines at this age ): i think its because of the lack of sleep during school term...SIGHHHH) i think it also helps in reducing eyebags/puffiness after prolonged used but i dont really have obvious eyebags, so im cant really comment on this factor.
Here are the swatches on my hand:

The SF potiron eye cream (RIGHT) has a much thicker consistency while the nivea eye cream has a lighter texture and thus it's absorbed faster. The (LEFT) nivea cream has a very very light mild fragrance which i dont really know how to describe. but it's definitely bearable.
Oh well, the search for the best eyecream continues...Do look out for an eye cream that boasts a high level of vit K (of cos, not excessively) because vit k is really good for reducing those stubborn dark circles!
