Bangkok (BKK) - Siwilai Rocket Coffee Bar Review

I visited this interesting indie cafe at Central Embassy, Bangkok, called Rocket X Siwilai. Rocket Coffee Bar has many other outlets elsewhere in Bangkok as well. In this particular outlet, Rocket Coffee Bar teamed up with Siwilai, a high-end retail shop selling apparels and accessories from mostly local designers.

It was certainly foodporn as we were served with plates of food-turned-art. I could tell that the food plating was carried out meticulously.

My favourite part of the meal were the desserts. Presenting the ICHIGO: Strawberry and raspberry in sorbet, mousses, gels, meringue, tuile as well as fresh and dried with sous-vide rhubarb, vanilla bean pudding, lemon curd, and star anise crumbles.

Our second dessert was the MOKAYA: Milk chocolate mousse, caramel and chocolate sauces, Ecuadorian chocolate ice cream, caramel snow and tuile, hazelnut cake, salted almonds, and fresh orange supremes

Even their beverages were served with a unique twist, making every bit of our experience special and unforgettable. The photo below is SALTED CARAMEL AFFOGATO: Espresso, house made Madagascan vanilla ice cream, salted caramel sauce, anise crumbles

I thoroughly enjoyed my HOT COCOA (below): Ecuadorian cocoa stick, a large cup steamed milk, a dollop whipped cream

Our mains were less aesthetically appealing but tasty. I ordered the CRISPY DUCK LEG CONFIT which was served with wilted spinach, tamarind jus, roast red radishes, eringi mushrooms, and potato terrine.

The interior was modern, minimalistic yet cozy. Perfect for a quiet afternoon or to rest your sore feet from all that shopping.
